"DRIFTWOOD and BIRD" Oil Painting

It has taken me a while but I have finally finished (I think) this painting. I normally like to paint landscapes but last year in late September, I decided to have a go at something different - a still life. My art teacher had a piece of driftwood in her garden with a little china bird nesting in it. So I thought why not. I did however add a real bird, it is a Red Capped Dotterel which can be found along the coast line.

This is stunning. It's so balanced in shape and colour and texture. I love looking at it!
